The U.S. northeastern states face with hurricane Jeanne remnants. More than four inches of rain fell on Trenton, New Jersey. The weather forecast prompted flood warnings in parts of the northeastern states. The Jeanne’s remnants loosed earth and eradicated trees in south Georgia.
“Flood warnings were in place in parts of New Jersey, Maryland, southeastern Pennsylvania and southeastern New York. Areas of western Connecticut and western Massachusetts are on flood watch”, Hydrometeorological Prediction Center said.
Hurricane Jeanne which rushed past the state brought cost insures in amount of $9 billion. AIP Worldwide Corporation using computer models has estimated damage from other storms on $17.2 billion.
