The National Association of Realtors® and Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation announced today the initiation of a partnership for promoting housing opportunities through homeownership education and counseling.
The National Association of Realtors®, "The Voice for Real Estate," is America's largest trade association which represents more than 760,000 members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, collectively known as the NeighborWorks® network, strengthens communities and transforms lives across America supporting the innovative local partnerships of residents, businesses, and government. The network is best known for its efforts that have created 40,000 new homeowners over the past four years through a concept called “full-cycle lending.”
The partnership of The National Association of Realtors® and Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation will include the development of case studies on winning strategies and best practices of homebuyer education. This activity is based on the experience of Realtors® work with NeighborWorks® organizations.
The partnership also involves creating and testing prototype business partnerships between Realtors® and NeighborWorks® organizations, sharing member services and resources, and spreading successful case studies at the national, state and local levels.
