U.S. bombs hit Iraq’s Falluja

American bombed targets in Iraq's insurgent-held city of Falluja Friday. “The overnight raids were aimed at its deadliest foe in Iraq, Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi”, the military said.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the bombing in Green Zone. “There's a $1-million reward for information that leads to the arrest of al-Zarqawi”, Iraqi and U.S. officials said. Interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi has promised a severe response in Fallujah, if residents don't give him up.

Two bomb explosions detonated in the heave fortified Green Zone killed at least five people including four U.S. soldiers. “The first bombing happened around 12:50 p.m. at a shopping bazaar in the compound; five minutes later, the second bomb exploded in the Green Zone Cafe, a popular hangout for U.S. officials”, Maj. Philip Smith, which is in charge of the Green Zone, said.
